Background:

• The existing community owned hall was badly damaged in the September 2010 earthquake.

• A community funded project with a tight budget.

• Community events have changed and the old style hall does not meet the current needs.

• Rebuilt on a new location on the Pines oval reserve.

Function:

• Multi functional indoor/outdoor spaces.

• Stage plays to inside and outside as well functioning as a public pavilion for the reserve.

• Commercial kitchen and shop/ coffee room open to the inside and outside.

• Large pine decks provide a tiered outdoor space, stage and seating.

• MDF dividing wall makes a separate meeting room when required.
